Rutherford Briant are currently seeking to recruit an Accounts Payable Assistant for a family-run group of companies based in Basildon who pride themselves on their progressive nature and distinctly positive team culture.
Our client is seeking a highly motivated finance professional to work closely within the Accounts Payable department in completing a wide range of tasks which will play a significant role in contributing to the Group's overall success. They are offering an initial salary of £21,000 per annum, as well as a wide range of competitive benefits (listed below.)
Responsibilities:
- Following specific procedures to assist in opening new accounts and contracts for customers.
- Check and distribute daily invoices.
- Ensure the customer Purchase Orders & scanning is up to date.
- Carry out the entry of invoices onto an online system.
- Assist with Month End invoicing and the processing of credit notes.
- Daily Cash Reconciliations.
- Ensure monthly debtors lists have been produced and distributed.
- Assisting in creating monthly customer and management reports.
Requirements:
- Ideally studying towards an AAT qualification.
- Fundamental understanding of transactional finance.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
- Strong willingness to learn.
