Rutherford Briant are currently seeking to recruit an Accounts Payable Assistant for a family-run group of companies based in Basildon who pride themselves on their progressive nature and distinctly positive team culture.

Our client is seeking a highly motivated finance professional to work closely within the Accounts Payable department in completing a wide range of tasks which will play a significant role in contributing to the Group's overall success. They are offering an initial salary of £21,000 per annum, as well as a wide range of competitive benefits (listed below.)

Responsibilities:

  • Following specific procedures to assist in opening new accounts and contracts for customers.
  • Check and distribute daily invoices.
  • Ensure the customer Purchase Orders & scanning is up to date.
  • Carry out the entry of invoices onto an online system.
  • Assist with Month End invoicing and the processing of credit notes.
  • Daily Cash Reconciliations.
  • Ensure monthly debtors lists have been produced and distributed.
  • Assisting in creating monthly customer and management reports.

Requirements:

  • Ideally studying towards an AAT qualification.
  • Fundamental understanding of transactional finance.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
  • Strong willingness to learn.
