Mould Shop Technical Trainer

Our client based in the Fareham area are looking to recruit for a Mould Shop Technical Trainer.

The key objective of this role will be to provide technical training and re-certification to the Mould Shop personnel whilst motivating and developing team members. The role will also cover SOP creation and revision using systems such as Siemens Teamcenter.

Job Duties

  • Accountable for ensuring that training targets are achieved as detailed by the set KPI.
  • To be accountable for health and safety awareness and compliance.
  • To participate in process improvement projects with the Technical Team.
  • Provide technical training, re-training, guidance and support as required across all areas of the Mould Shop.
  • Accountable for updating training records and maintaining the training matrix.
  • To provide feedback for necessary updates to reflect the process and ensure all relevant team members are trained, assessed and signed off on the latest version.
  • Effective use of the QMS system for reference to the latest documentation.
  • Conduct regular trainee reviews to ensure compliance to procedures are met.
  • Conduct training for all operatives so that they receive the identified training for their role within specified timeframe.
  • Work alongside the technical process engineers as and when required for introduction of new processes and ways of working.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Injection mould processes including:
  • Computer literate with good IT skills.
  • Initiative – to be able to proactively identify improvements and communicate ways in which improvements can be made.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to convey information accurately.
  • The ability to plan training in advance and be able to adjust the plan at short notice if business needs require.
  • Working knowledge of IMM control systems including Engel/Demag etc.
  • Correct Tool hanging procedures using Lenzkes clamps and direct bolting.
  • Ability to set an IMM using existing setting data including mould safety, clamp force, safe start up procedure, Robot setup.
  • Ability to trouble-shoot basic moulding issues including, shorts, blistering, flash, silvering.
  • Assess correct barrel/tool temperatures for relevant material.
  • Knowledge of scientific moulding techniques for process optimisation.

Experience

  • Experience in injection moulding and the automotive sector
  • Ideally one year's experience of working in a result driven manufacturing environment
  • Excellent team players and communicators who can work on their own initiative, with attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be expected to achieve results whilst maintaining quality at all times within a fast paced and changing environment.
