Senior Infrastructure/Network Engineer
We are working exclusively with an esteemed client, an experienced IT solutions provider renowned for delivering high-quality IT services to businesses for over three decades, to help expand their team. This position will be based at their office in Oxfordshire.
The ideal candidate will be professional, highly customer-oriented, personable, and capable of engaging effectively with clients at all levels, including Board members. This client-facing role demands the ability to establish and maintain strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Providing support to clients across many locations nationwide, primarily within Oxfordshire
- Conducting remote diagnostics and occasional on-site support and implementation
- Leading new projects and installations
- Offering on-site end-user support and maintaining existing infrastructure
- Performing problem analysis and investigation
- Ensuring documentation and configurations are up-to-date and of high quality
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Strong proficiency in Azure and Office 365, with at least 12 months of experience handling multiple customer deployments
- Extensive experience in managing Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, and 2022)
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Hyper-V Virtualisation
- Expertise in Active Directory and Azure AD administration, including Group Policy setup
- Skilled in supporting both Windows 10/11 and Apple devices, with additional experience in Intune, Apple, and Meraki MDM being advantageous
- Deep understanding of networking principles, particularly TCP/IP, and comprehensive knowledge of Cisco routers and switches
- Familiarity with backup solutions and disaster recovery plans
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server is a plus
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications:
- 4-5 years of experience in a similar role
