Job Description
- Product Availability & Working Capital: Ensure product availability meets a target of 99.5% while aligning stock levels with demand variability, seasonality, minimum order quantities, and lead times. Manage working capital targets and anticipate supply chain needs.
- Supplier & Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with Bought-In and Contract Pack suppliers, ensuring capacity needs are met. Represent the supply function in the S&OP cycle, providing insights, support, and actionable challenges as required.
- Process Improvement: Drive improvements in planning processes to optimise stockholding and working capital and maximise current Futurmaster planning system. Collaborate closely with the sourcing team to maximise supplier performance, streamline supply processes, and initiate continuous improvement efforts. Maximise current Futurmaster system.
- Stock Management: Set, maintain, and communicate stock targets, highlighting areas of risk and working with internal teams to find solutions. Ensure stock accuracy through regular stock takes and reconciliations.
- Customer Satisfaction: Monitor customer-perceived service levels, proactively addressing any gaps by working with logistics to refine inbound supply processes.
- S&OP Leadership: Oversee the S&OP process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency, while identifying key opportunities and risks.
The Successful Applicant
- Supply Chain Expertise: In-depth knowledge of S&OP/IBP within FMCG manufacturing (ideally food) and experience with ERP and MRP processes, product setup, and contract packing.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel and Business Intelligence (BI) skills, along with experience in dashboard creation and data analysis for strategic decision-making.
- Stakeholder & Supplier Management: Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively influence and communicate complex information across different organisational levels.
- Continuous Improvement Mindset: Demonstrated experience in change initiatives and a culture of continuous improvement. Proven experience of reviewing and embedding new internal processes and getting others on board with new initiatives/objectives.
- Leadership Capability and Potential: Proven experience of managing small teams within planning and inventory. High ability and readiness for strategic leadership, with proven experience in coaching and team development.
