Maternity Cover with possible extension - Payroll and Credit Control Vacancy.
Hours: 37.5 hours a week (Monday to Friday, 1 hour daily for lunch)
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience
Location: Maldon, Essex
Full Driving Licence: Advantage but not necessary
Start date: As soon as possible
Working within a fast-paced environment in a medium-sized education recruitment office in beautiful Maldon. This position would encompass the payroll and credit control role, and administration for approximately 150 temps.
Payroll Duties:
- Invoicing clients and checking PO numbers
- Sending candidate payroll to third parties
Credit Controller Duties:
The credit controller is responsible for chasing outstanding invoices and plays a vital role in the cash-flow of the organisation.
- Chasing debt by telephone and email.
- Allocating payments in accordance with customer remittances.
- Processing and generating reminder letters and monthly statements.
- Liaising with the sales and accounts receivable teams to resolve outstanding queries.
- Preparing and raising weekly invoices.
Requirements for the role:
- Previous experience of Xero accounting package and of working in a finance department would be an advantage but training will be given.
- A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 including Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Quick learner - able to pick up new systems and software quickly and confidently
- Polite but tenacious telephone manner.
- Good level of written and spoken English.
- Excellent eye for detail.
- The ability to work as a positive, friendly and helpful team member.
- Flexible and reliable with a professional approach to work.
