We have a fantastic opportunity to join an incredible provision for young people aged 11-16 at a fast-growing and innovative special educational needs school, based in Tiverton. Coming from a range of backgrounds, the students you will be working with have additional needs including high-functioning autism and ADHD.

You will be expected to support the class teacher within lessons, helping students to engage in their learning and manage behaviour. You may be working with students on a one-to-one basis, dependent on need. The students may demonstrate challenging behaviour so it is essential that you stay calm and help them regulate.

  • Who is proactive, resilient and willing to get 'stuck in'
  • Has a good sense of humour and loves working as part of a team
  • Be able to engage children in their learning
  • Build strong, positive relationships with children, staff and parents/carers
  • Previous experience working individuals with autism and ADHD is desirable
