Project Engineer
Salary Range: £33,000 - £43,000

Reed Engineering are working with an innovative company who are looking for a Project Engineer to manage the technical and critical success factors of our projects throughout their lifecycle within the company. This role involves in-depth planning, design or collaboration with a design team, and technical management of R&D projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service focus, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive projects to completion according to plan.
Day to Day of the role:
- Manage and oversee the technical aspects of projects from inception to completion.
- Engage in in-depth planning and ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.
- Design cryogenic equipment or work closely with the design team, including drawing checks.
- Provide technical input and manage R&D projects, coordinating teams effectively.
- Communicate with customers to understand their requirements and ensure satisfaction.
- Drive projects forward according to the project plan, ensuring milestones are met.
- Assist the sales team with technical specifications for tender documentation as needed.
- Understand and sometimes be involved in the wiring, testing, and installation of cryogenic instruments to contract specifications.
- Use, design, and develop processes to enhance products and improve company performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A degree in Physics or Engineering.
- Project engineering experience within an R&D or scientific environment.
- Cryogenic experience is desirable but not essential.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to travel worldwide for system installations as required.
