Job Overview

The Operations Manager will be responsible for working with the Regional Director and other Key Managers for driving health, safety, wellbeing, and profitability of the public sector security contracts. The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring OCS delivers on its contractual commitments with the aim to continuously improve the service and exceeds expectations. The successful candidates will hold and maintain positive customer relationships, support business growth, and strongly collaborate with colleagues and the operations directors to deliver a positive, proactive, and progressive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Key Managers in London with both site and welfare visits.
  • Provide leadership, inspiration, guidance, and day to day management of all accounts within your

remit.

  • Create a pipeline of opportunity for the sales team to investigate
  • Attend regular client review meetings in line with their schedule and be the operational lead.
  • Networking and relationship building within the London network is essential to this role.
  • Ensure sites are scheduled to avoid dropped shifts.
  • Have a strong understanding of P&L.
  • Support debt management and recovery.
  • Ensure contract delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Responsible for ensuring all company assets and equipment is accounted for and managed correctly
  • Attend bid presentations as required.
  • Day to day management includes, recruitment, scheduling, KPI and SLA meetings, site visits, training

staff and adding value to contracts.

  • Provide out of hours escalation support and ensure a Duty manager on call system is in place across

the region

  • Understand use of sub-contractors across the region, the impact of their costs versus budget and

create plans to minimise use.

About You:

  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
  • Valid SIA licence essential
  • Experience of managing various typers of contracts such as distribution, healthcare, industry etc
  • Experience of managing and directing large and disparate teams
  • Significant experience working in security operational guarding
  • Extensive experience of operating multiple ranging scale contracts
  • Experience within Manned Guarding Security operations across multiple locations
  • Evidence of consistently motivating and managing teams
  • Experience in sales and supporting bid processes is essential
  • Proven client relationship and operational management of key accounts essential
  • Strong understanding and evidence of implementing best practice in health and safety and risk

assessments

  • Experience in managing P&L and budgets
  • Must be resilient and hard working and able to travel daily to meet the contract requirements.
  • Good commercial and financial acumen.
  • Demonstrable track record of working with a range of clients in corporate environments.
  • Strong understanding of key security legislative requirements including but not exclusive to

licensing, vetting and BS7858.

  • Strong management skills with ability to form relationships.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic with good time management and leadership skills
  • Excellent Interpersonal Abilities (oral & written)
  • Ability to demonstrate strong personal integrity.
  • Excellent IT skills (Excel, Outlook/Calendar, Word etc.) is essential.
  • Strong leadership style with a focus on supporting and developing employees
