Our client has been established for nearly 30 years and specialise in the supply and manufacture of safety critical fastening solutions to a diverse range of industry sectors and applications, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit an experienced and self- motivated Quality Engineer to complement their professional HSEQ team.
Based in Birmingham and reporting to the HSEQ Manager, the successful candidate will be tasked with providing quality support to both internal and external customers, from new project introduction through to PPAP submission and signoff.
Core activities for this varied and challenging Quality Engineer role will include (but not be limited to):
- Reviewing supplier submitted PPAP's and ISIR's
- Acting as the primary point of contact for customers with regards to supply issues
- Control of Non-Conformance by raising returns notes etc.
- Acting as the point of contact/Quality liaison for both internal & external customers
- Generating and managing Corrective Action Reports (CARs)
- Performing the inspection of parts to customer drawings or international standards
- Using Keyence Digital Imaging Machines (Full training will be given)
- Monitoring of Calibration for group measuring equipment
To be considered for this exceptional Quality Engineer opportunity with our recognised market leading client, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will demonstrate a working knowledge of the requirements of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 with experience of Root Cause Analysis (8D) and Internal Auditing.
With proven experience in core Quality Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC & MSA) and IMDS Submissions, you will be skilled in the use of a variety of measuring equipment such as mics, verniers, thread gauges, hardness tester etc and will demonstrate excellent communication skills at all levels to allow effective participation in TEAMS calls with customers during Technical Reviews and APQP activities.
