Senior Operations Manager – Automotive Protection

We have a 12-month FTC available for a Senior Operations Manager to join our growing, successful Automotive Protection Division. The role will manage, coordinate and deliver operational functions for the global division as well as improving efficiency, consistency and standardisation of client reporting and processes.

Your role:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key external and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve pricing models in line with customer needs.
  • Contribute to a positive environment by demonstrating cultural expectations and guiding leaders to reward performance and value "can do" people, accountability, diversity and inclusion, flexibility, continuous improvement, collaboration, creativity and fun.
  • Establish clear accountabilities and authority levels for direct reports and build a strong culture of accountability and performance in order to ensure delivery of goals.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, motivation, and collaboration within the team to actively engage employees and ensure delivery of business objectives.
  • Lead, manage and engage the Governance & Control team and the Reporting & Reconciliation team ensuring the overall output and quality of the service provided by the teams are to a high standard.
  • Maintain effective and on-going communication with business representatives to ensure that knowledge is communicated to all business users to enable them to achieve their objectives...
  • Building and documenting regular processes (or receiving them from other teams) and publishing them to the offshore teams when appropriate.
  • Work with offshore teams on more complex queries/referrals ensuring the maintenance and development of process and procedural standards.
  • Manage the on-going development of the service provided (e.g. assessing processes, procedures, structure etc) promoting a culture of continuous improvement which ensures delivery is aligned with business needs, adds value and is aligned with best practice.
  • Ensure GSSC Analysts are trained and in alignment with best practices in London.
  • Ensure that procedures are adhered to and provide support in liaising with external regulatory bodies.
  • Driving data integrity and consistency by encouraging the team to perform appropriate reconciliations and data validations, where exceptions are flagged managing the investigation and remediation in a timely manner.
  • Prioritize workloads and balance/escalate conflicting demands in order to ensure agreed deadlines are achieved.
  • Contributes to overall strategy development for AP and prioritizes operational deliverables and activities of team.

About you:

  • General operational experience, using financial or credit control related data to provide insights
  • Experience providing end to end process management and supporting colleagues in adhering to these
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft package, including excel e.g. v-look-ups and pivot tables
  • Business and financial acumen and curiosity to learn and keep up with market trends and innovations.
  • Communicate effectively, concisely and appropriately at all levels (in writing and in person).
  • Methodical, logical and rational approach to problem solving.
  • Clear ability to analyse and use data for decision making.
