Temptation Gifts has been on the High Street for over 40 years. We have seven stores in the Home Counties as well as a very strong online presence.
Our stores are bright, inviting and fun to visit - selling known brands like Jellycat, Yankee, Dunoon, East of India, Ted Baker, Wrendale etc as well as lots of lesser known companies that produce wonderful, innovative gifts.
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Retail Manager to join our team. As the Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store. This includes managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales. If you have a passion for retail and possess strong leadership skills, we want to hear from you.
Good computer skills and good written and spoken English are essential.
Key responsibilities
- To ensure that everyone working in or visiting Temptation experiences a welcoming, upbeat, positive environment.
- Ensure exceptional customer service by coaching and developing staff on effective sales techniques
- To achieve weekly and monthly targets
- To train, motivate and manage all staff to achieve personal and store objectives.
- To maintain store appearance by organizing and arranging merchandise displays
- Manage and supervise retail staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
Requirements
- At least two years recent retail management experience in a similar environment
- Excellent merchandising skills
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Time management capabilities to prioritize tasks effectively

This is a permanent, full time position - working 5 days across a 7 day rota.
About you
- Do you have similar (gifts,cards,fashion etc) retail store management experience?
- Have you managed a team of up to 10 members of staff?
- Own transport would be ideal so you could train in the other stores.
