Purpose of Role:
The Test and Qualification Engineer will be responsible for defining and conducting independent testing of both new and updated software and hardware products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and produce comprehensive test plans for software and hardware products.
- Design flexible and scalable test environments tailored to specific test plans and departmental needs.
- Automate testing procedures using appropriate environments, including scripting, user interfaces, and test rigs.
- Set up and execute manual and automated tests on new or updated hardware and software.
- Conduct internal training sessions to educate teams on new products and features.

Knowledge & Experience:
Candidates should ideally possess several of the following skills/experience:
- Experience in product testing of embedded systems (both software and hardware).
- Proficiency in Python or another programming language, particularly for scripting and developing graphical user interfaces.
- Working knowledge of Linux (preferably Ubuntu).
- Familiarity with networking protocols and systems.
- Experience in audio testing.
- Knowledge of Voice over IP (VoIP) solutions such as SIP and Dante.
- Basic understanding of electronics.
Education & Qualifications (not required by preferred):
- A good degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- ISTQB certification
Salary & Benefits:
The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience, circa £35,000 to £45,000. Additional benefits include free on-site parking, an employer pension scheme, employee discounts on products, and access to wellbeing services such as discounted gym memberships.
