Reed accountancy have recently partnered up with a fantastic business who are looking for a finance assistant to join their business. This role will report directly into the financial accountant and will be responsible for the Purchase Ledger function.
The Role:
- Report into the Financial accountant
- Be responsible for the Purchase Ledger Function, dealing with supplier payment runs as well as any ad hoc payments and the administration of this on the system
- Be responsible for the finance email boxes to ensuring all queries are resolved in a timely manner
- Be able to provide support to the wider Finance Team with daily and monthly tasks to ensuring the smooth running of the department.
The Candidate
- Previous Experience of purchase ledger and SAGE 50 accounts
- Previous knowledge and experience of accounting principles and ideally AAT part qualified
- Must be computer literate, with good knowledge of word and excel
- Good planning and organisational skills
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing at all levels
- Able to work under own initiative
- Good interpersonal skills
- Understanding the importance of confidentiality
