Accounts Assistant

Reed accountancy have recently partnered up with a fantastic business who are looking for a finance assistant to join their business. This role will report directly into the financial accountant and will be responsible for the Purchase Ledger function.

The Role:

  • Report into the Financial accountant
  • Be responsible for the Purchase Ledger Function, dealing with supplier payment runs as well as any ad hoc payments and the administration of this on the system
  • Be responsible for the finance email boxes to ensuring all queries are resolved in a timely manner
  • Be able to provide support to the wider Finance Team with daily and monthly tasks to ensuring the smooth running of the department.

The Candidate

  • Previous Experience of purchase ledger and SAGE 50 accounts
  • Previous knowledge and experience of accounting principles and ideally AAT part qualified
  • Must be computer literate, with good knowledge of word and excel
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing at all levels
  • Able to work under own initiative
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Understanding the importance of confidentiality
