The Role:

  • As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant at this 2-form entry Primary school, you will play a vital role in supporting a pupil in KS2 who has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Condition. Your mission will be to empower this student to reach their full potential, both academically and personally.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing one-on-one support to the pupil with ASC, tailored to their unique needs.
  • Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assisting with classroom activities and adapting them to meet the pupil's learning style.
  • Collaborating closely with the class teacher and SENCO to develop Individual Education Plans.
  • Building positive relationships with the pupil, their parents, and other professionals involved in their care.
  • Encouraging social interaction and promoting emotional well-being.
