The Audit Specialist role has a salary of £46,293 + excellent benefits including outstanding pension.

The Role

As the Group Audit Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in planning and leading audit assignments, co-ordinating audit resources, supporting the planning and delivery of the audit programme, including the development of the audit plan, identifying risk exposures, and verifying audit action completion.

You will be collaborating with the Group Head of Internal Audit and the Group Systems Audit Manager to drive the business in the development and promotion of a proactive culture for assurance.

This role will see you working on a broad array of auditing functions and across all elements of an internal audit service, providing opportunities for growth and development in your professional career.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Planning, conducting and delivering audit assignments as required.
- To co-ordinate the management systems and internal audit resources including ensuring appropriate competencies are maintained against an appropriate training matrix.
- Managing the QPulse action tracking software and information added to QPulse including the validation of audit actions prior to closing out ensuring it delivers an effective and efficient user experience.
- You will be supervising the timely close-out of audit actions, proactively engaging with stakeholders, validating data and submissions to close-out audit actions.
- Acting and deputising as the Group Systems Audit Manager when necessary.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

- Degree or higher degree.
- Internal auditor qualification or working towards.
- It would be advantageous to have experience in auditing over a wide range of functional areas (e.g. finance, projects & programmes, risk management or information security).
- Highly developed organisational awareness, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate, influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Data analysis skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including SharePoint.
- Power Platform experience desirable.
