PP Associates are delighted to be engaged a third time with a well-established, large business who are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their lovely team.
The Accounts Payable Clerk role is a fixed-term contract for 9 months up until the end of April 2025. The role is essential to support the existing accounts payable team with a big spike in the volume of work. As Accounts Payable Clerk you will have a great feeling to know that you have supported the team in reducing the volume of invoices, queries, and more.
Your Accounts Payable role will be varied as you will conduct all processes up to and including payment runs. You will have the support of the accounts payable and treasury teams and work collaboratively to achieve your goals and objectives.
Your role will be FULLY REMOTE with a requirement to attend their head office once or twice per month. All equipment will be provided for you.
As Accounts Payable Clerk your duties will include:
- Setting up new suppliers, maintaining the supplier database, and timely processing of supplier invoices
- Matching, batching, and coding supplier invoices
- Processing weekly payment runs, reconciling supplier statements, and resolving supplier queries effectively
- Reporting aged creditors with supporting explanations of balances over target
- Preparing, processing journals, and support with the month-end accounts payable close
Experience and skills you will have:
- Up to date experience of end-to-end accounts payable processes
- Fast and accurate data processing skills
- Highly numerate and literate
- Keen eye for detail
- Effective and clear communication skills
- Team player
Salary and benefits include:
- £26,700 per annum, pro-rata (for 9-months)
- Full-time 35-hour FLEXIBLE working week
