Supreme Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Cargo Screener to join a global freight forwarder on a potenial temp to perm basis at their London facility, based near Heathrow.
The job role will involve x-ray screening parcels ready for export. We can provide training, but we are ideally looking for a candidate with previous experience working within a warehouse environment or with a previous experience in x-ray screening in some sort of capacity i.e. passenger/ hold baggage/ cargo.
Please note - you will only be able to start once we've completed your 5-year employment and/or education history referencing. This process typically takes between 2 to 3 working weeks, therefore, there is no immediate start is available.
SHIFT HOURS:
4 on 4 off, 7 pm to 7 am
You will receive:
- £12 to £14 per hour
Duties will include:
- Working in a fast-paced Warehouse Environment
- Loading and Unloading Parcels onto X-ray machine, Conveyor belts and ULDs
- Using a hand-held scanner, Parcels will need to be scanned as they travel through the facility
- Adhering to all Health and Safety instructions in the warehouse
- X-Ray Screening Cargo, looking out for any explosive threats.
- Keeping up to date with screening training
This position will involve repetitive manual lifting it is essential that you have a good level of fitness.
