Job Description :
My client is looking to recruit a SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) Coordinator for their Storage and distribution site in Somerset. This is a newly created role and the successful SHEQ Coordinator / SHEQ Manager will maintain and enhance the site safety, health, environmental, and quality standards within the storage and distribution sector, with specific knowledge of BRC accreditation and Sedex requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with BRC accreditation standards in storage and distribution: - Develop and implement appropriate systems, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with BRC standards.
- Manage Sedex (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange) requirements: .
- Safety, health, environment, and quality management: - Develop and implement SHEQ policies, procedures, and practices to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Training and awareness: - Develop and deliver SHEQ training programs for employees, including BRC and Sedex compliance.
- Compliance and reporting: - Stay updated on relevant legislative changes and industry best practices related to transport safety, health, environment, and quality.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience working in a SHEQ role
- Knowledge of BRC Global Standard for Storage and Distribution.
- Familiarity with Sedex requirements and responsible sourcing practices.
- Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders.
- Professional certifications related to SHEQ management (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO lead auditor) are desirable.
This role is a full time permanent role however part time hours maybe possible.
