Senior FP&A Accountant

As a Senior Management Accountant, you'll be working alongside a small dynamic team reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you'll dive into stimulating discussions surrounding costs, budgets, forecasts, and overheads. With a focus on internal stakeholders including the Financial Planning & Analysis leadership team, internal finance, and wider functions, your impact will be felt across the organisation.

Description

The successful candidate will likely have the following responsibilities:

  • Contributing to the period end, forecasting and IBP processes, ensuring all deliverables to Line of Business / Sector / Group are made in line with expected timescale
  • Working with the functional budget holders to challenge and influence thinking to manage and control headcount and spend to agreed targets
  • Taking responsibility for key areas of FP&A processes, ensuring compliance to the Finance Policies Manual
  • Supporting continual improvement and standardisation of procedures and working practices by producing, promoting, and monitoring supporting process instructions
  • Providing support to Cost Performance improvement and transformation initiatives initiated through the FP&A capability centre
  • Generating new ideas for evolving delivery of Cost Performance information into the business, embracing modern working practices, systems, tools, and techniques
  • Coaching and developing others within the Cost Performance team along with supporting the Finance Manager
  • Maintaining a key focus on analysis and providing financial insights to enable and enhance business decision making

Profile

The successful candidate will likely have the following profile:

  • Fully qualified accountant; ACCA, ACA, CIMA, ICAEW or ICAS
  • Strong MS office skills - excel
  • Ability to challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Budget management

Job Offer

This role will offer a competitive salary between £50,000-£53,000 plus bonus and exceptional wider benefits.
