We are seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor to provide one-to-one educational support to pupils with additional needs who are not currently in school settings. This role requires a compassionate individual with experience in managing complex needs and the ability to adapt to the unique learning requirements of each pupil.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver tailored one-to-one tuition sessions in the homes of pupils with a range of additional needs.
- Develop individualised learning plans to cater to the specific educational requirements of each pupil.
- Employ a variety of teaching methods and tools to engage pupils and facilitate learning.
- Monitor and record pupils' progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with parents or guardians to support the pupil's learning and development.
- Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate the varying tuition needs of each case.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
- Proven experience working with pupils with complex additional needs.
- Strong understanding of the strategies required to support SEN pupils effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with pupils and their families.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to providing inclusive education.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
