We are currently recruiting for an Apprentice Business Administrator to join our team at our Ibstock Head Office in Ibstock, Coalville, LE67 6HS.

  • Location: -10 minute drive from the Shepshed
  • 20 minute drive from Loughborough
  • 30 minute drive from Leicester city centre
  • The programme will take 1.5 years to complete gaining a Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship.
  • The starting salary for this role is £19,000 per annum with annual pay increases upon successful completion of each year.

What will you be doing?

Working with us as an Administrator/Receptionist, your role sits within the wider team of Executive Assistant and PA's who support the Board of Directors, you will be based front of house working alongside our one of our Reception Supervisors, who will act as your mentor, providing you with training and development to learn the skills to thrive and really support our business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Answering the switchboard and dealing with callers in a professional and efficient manner
  • Welcomes visitors to site and contacts the relevant Ibstock employee to come to reception to collect their visitor(s).
  • Manage golf membership – 59Club.
  • PPE orders for Leicester offices.
  • Order business cards across the business.
  • Processes orders and invoices on JDE for various Departments.
  • Arranges taxis for visitors.
  • Arranges Couriers to collect documents / parcels as and when required.
  • Arranges special delivery / registered post of items, as required.
  • Orders office stationery and ensures essential stocks do not run too low.
  • Orders photocopying paper and arranges distribution thereof.
  • Liaises with the taxi company and post office re the delivery and collection of post from the main office.
  • Keeps the Reception area tidy.
  • Liaises with Olive Catering re buffets and / or reserves tables in the food factory.
  • Manages the meeting rooms' bookings.
  • Recording of daily cheques for Credit Control.
  • Banking of cheques for Credit Control.

Essential requirements:

  • You will have a minimum of 2 GCSE's at Grade 4-9 (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English.
  • An ICT GSCE would also be advantageous but not required.
  • A full UK driving licence is advantageous due to the location of our site.
  • Ability to remain calm when under pressure.
  • To be confidential at all times.
  • Maintain a warm, friendly environment.
  • Deal with all work in a timely manner.
  • Deliver all work to a high quality standard.
