We are excited to present a new opportunity for an Management Accountant to join a well-established pharmaceutical business, based near Plymouth. This is a full-time, permanent role with hybrid working arrangements.

Our client is a dynamic pharmaceutical group who are privately owned. They have a grown through acquisition alongside developing / manufacturing new products on the market for consumer use. Due to a brilliant internal culture, they have continued to thrive, pushing the boundaries of medical development and top-class customer service.

About the role:

This position has come about due to a long-standing team member retiring and would see you involved in completing monthly management accounts for multiple entities, assisting toward the preparation of statutory accounts and process improvement. You will work closely with two Financial Controller of the entities to provide them with detailed reporting and analysis of accounts and create best accounting practices across the business. The role provides significant opportunities for career progression and involvement in exciting projects alongside daily responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and produce monthly management accounts.
  • Completion of payroll for number of key staff.
  • Manage VAT returns.
  • Participate in project work.
  • Perform ad hoc additional duties as required.

About you:

The ideal candidate will be a finalist or QBE Management Accountant (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA) with experience in producing accounts, budgeting and forecasting. You should be ambitious and eager for an opportunity that offers progression and personal growth. Our client seeks a hands-on professional who can also collaborate effectively with non-finance stakeholders in a senior capacity.

Requirements:

  • ACCA, ACA, or CIMA finalist / QBE.
  • Previous experience working with multiple entities.
  • Proven experience in creating full management accounts within a group function.
  • Payroll exposure.
