Job Title: IT Engineer
Location: Rochdale, Greater Manchester
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 DOE
Job Description:
We are recruiting on behalf of an organisation who work closely with the Rochdale Borough community in supporting different Academy Trusts within the area. They are looking for an IT Engineer to join their team and support staff and students with IT issues and technical queries.
Day-to-day:
- Travel between different Academy Trusts within Rochdale, providing IT support to staff and students.
- Maintenance repairs and upgrades of IT Infrastructure
- Work with wider IT team with the deployment and development of network infrastructure, hardware and associated equipment
- Provide software support and solutions
- Install / set up media displays and other communication equipment
- To keep asset and inventory management systems up-to-date
- To participate in learning and development opportunities
To have knowledge of / or have been exposed to:
- Operating Systems - Windows, Mac OS, Android, Google Workspace / Chrome Books
- Office 365 & applications
- Backups
- Wireless Infrastructure
- Printer Management
- IP Telephony
- Networking Protocols - DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP
- Network Security
- Network Infrastructure monitoring
