IT Support Apprentice

Helix Energy are an international offshore energy services company that provides specialty services to the offshore energy industry, with a focus on well intervention, robotics and full-field decommissioning operations.

Due to continued growth they are looking for an IT Support Apprentice who will be responsible for providing technical support to the UK region whilst working towards your IT SCQF Level 8 Apprenticeship. Responsibilities:

  • Building new computers or rebuilding computers
  • Maintaining hardware and installing software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
  • Creating/updating images for easy deployment
  • Creating, updating and following company procedures
  • Setting up user's computer, IP phone, printers and completing IT orientation
  • Resolve hardware faults (monitors, laptops, desktops, printers, phones)
  • Answering helpdesk tickets (voice and/or email)
  • Responsible for the daily backups and troubleshoot if required
  • Appling additional permissions to users using AD
  • Maintenance of software licencing records
  • Vessel visits required for maintenance, troubleshooting

Salary:

£16,000 per annum

Working hours:

37.5 hours per week, 9am – 5pm
