About the Role:

Hyperion Partners is thrilled to be recruiting on behalf of our esteemed client, a top-tier student accommodation provider, for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team in London, playing a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of electrical systems across our client's portfolio of properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of electrical engineering projects within student accommodation buildings.
  • Design, develop, and implement electrical systems and components to meet project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and upgrades of electrical installations to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
  • Lead a team of junior engineers and technicians, providing mentorship and ensuring high standards of work.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical issues, implementing effective and sustainable solutions.
  • Prepare detailed reports, technical documentation, and project updates for management and stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to continuously improve engineering processes and outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., Chartered Engineer status) is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Extensive experience in building services, particularly within the residential or student accommodation sectors.
  • Proficient in using electrical design software and other relevant engineering tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to project management.
