As a Distressed Debt Trader, you will coordinate with all functions within the broader Distressed Products Group (analysts, sales and legal) to identify and execute trades in partnership with the clients including institutional investors and hedge funds.

You will be required to manage and understand the ongoing risk management of these positions in conjunction with the analyst.

Your key responsibilities

  • Work with team to generate new trade ideas, work includes credit, financial modelling, scenario analysis and communication with client investor base
  • End to end deal cycle including data review, market making, transaction modelling, asset/legal/operational due diligence
  • Liaising with all transaction parties (internal and external) and helping with preparation of internal approval documents
  • Understanding of trade terminology and market convention, risk management through the life of the transaction (post execution)
  • Supporting internal groups throughout Deutsche Bank, including traders, structures, sales and banking coverage and be comfortable working with clients directly

Your skills and experience

  • Experience in the distressed debt market and prior experience directly as a distressed debt trader
  • Strong personal drive and proactive demeanor
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
