This role is crucial for supporting students with health conditions, establishing a strong foundation for their academic success. It plays a key part in promoting mental health, wellbeing, and safety principles, ensuring that students have the necessary support to thrive academically and personally. The role is focused on managing and supporting the health and wellbeing needs of students at The Sheffield College.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and daily support on health conditions to reduce risks within the curriculum.
  • Ensure students with health conditions are fully supported and funded, enabling their participation in all educational activities, including external trips.
  • Collaborate with SEND and curriculum colleagues to implement health elements of EHCP/ICP and individual risk assessments.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to assess, monitor, and review health-related processes.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and internal procedures through comprehensive risk assessments.

Skills & Knowledge
