Procurement Assurance Manager

Butler Rose is working with one of the largest housing associations in London and the South-East in their search for a Procurement Assurance Manager to join their Procurement team. This is a permanent role with hybrid working (2 days in the office) and will pay a salary up to £50,750 dependant on experience.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Assurance Manager to lead the development and ongoing management of reporting requirements to ensure compliance with the Procurement Act 2023. The role is critical in supporting the objective to embed transparency throughout UK Public Procurement, with a focus on publishing key notices throughout the procurement lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of reporting requirements under the Procurement Act 2023, establishing processes and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Provide training and advice on the Act and its reporting requirements to internal teams.
- Work collaboratively with various departments to ensure that reporting requirements are met within regulatory timeframes.
- Lead the publication of required notices via a centralised digital platform, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
- Conduct detailed data analysis to identify areas of non-compliance and implement corrective actions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring effective business partnering.
- Stay informed on relevant policies, statutory regulations, and procedures, including health and safety and financial regulations.

Skills/Experience Required:
- CIPS Level 4 (or willingness to work towards it).
- Excellent understanding of Public Contract Regulations (2015) and a solid overview of the Procurement Act (2023).
- Experience in building and managing effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong skills in influencing, negotiation, and communicating complex issues.
- Advanced IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and data analysis.

Desirable Attributes:
- Experience in data analytics and establishing new processes.
- Understanding of contracts and KPIs, including their role in procurement.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with a focus on stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to manage performance metrics and termination notices.
