Senior Site Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our new residential development in Grimsby. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the site team, including subcontractors and suppliers, to ensure efficient and effective site operations.
  • Oversee all aspects of the construction process, from planning and scheduling to execution and handover.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management.
  • Manage site resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel, to optimise productivity and cost-efficiency.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure high standards of workmanship.
  • Resolve any issues or disputes that arise during the construction process.
  • Foster a positive working environment and promote teamwork and collaboration among site staff.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager in the residential construction sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
  • In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and other relevant tools.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • CSCS card, SMSTS certificate, and First Aid at Work certification.
