We are seeking a dedicated QHSE Administrator to provide essential support to our Head of QHSE. This role involves a variety of administrative tasks related to planning, delivery, monitoring, and reporting of QHSE activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QHSE within a production or manufacturing environment and possess excellent organisational and communication skills.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide administrative support in delivering the Health & Safety strategic plan.
  • Take minutes during meetings, maintain action logs, and handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Assist in implementing corrective actions from incident investigations and addressing safety concerns.
  • Support forums and working groups across the business and maintain the Health and Safety SharePoint site.
  • Document management and process improvements, administer QHSE platforms, and ensure the effectiveness of safe systems of work.
  • Facilitate training sessions on Risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and general HSE awareness.
  • Monitor and maintain HSE planner and registers for equipment and calibration.
  • Liaise with the workforce to gather QHSE suggestions and concerns to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support the delivery of HSE training, toolbox talks, and maintain training records.
  • Conduct shop floor audits, inspections, and maintain recorded data.
  • Assist in raising service calls, processing supplier returns, and writing risk assessments and method statements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar QHSE administrative role.
  • Familiarity with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
  • IOSH managing safely certification or equivalent is desirable but not essential
  • Experience with ISO 9001.
  • Skilled in writing risk assessments, method statements, and work instructions.
  • Background in a production/manufacturing environment and conducting workplace inspections.
  • Ability to produce work within defined timescales.
  • Excellent customer service, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
  • Positive, flexible, and proactive approach to work with a willingness to learn new skills.
