Position: PLC Software Engineer
Location: Home-based, covering regions across Lincolnshire, Essex, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Suffolk, Norfolk, and occasional travel to London
Contracted Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: In the region of £40-50k DOE

Role Overview:
As a PLC Software Engineer, you will play a key role in developing, testing, and commissioning control systems for PLC-based panels. This is a home-based role with travel to various client sites across England, where you will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, creating Functional Design Specifications, and delivering bespoke solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret customer control philosophies and create comprehensive Functional Design Specifications.
- Develop, test, and commission PLC and HMI code to meet project specifications.
- Conduct site visits across designated regions to support the commissioning process.
- Ensure projects adhere to industry standards and meet client expectations.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in PLC and HMI programming and commissioning.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage your time effectively, and be self-motivated.
- Experience with Schneider, Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi PLC & HMI systems (preferred).
- Familiarity with SCADA systems (preferred but not essential).
- Background in automation or process control; experience with UK Water Authority projects is ideal but not mandatory.
