Our client is a leading provider of telecom and data services through dealers and resellers across the UK, is seeking a skilled VoIP Engineer to join their dynamic team. With a focus on maintaining and growing their channel base as the BT switch-off approaches, this is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in our business growth.
As a VoIP Engineer, you'll collaborate closely with dedicated provisioning and sales teams, delivering technical support to ensure seamless customer onboarding and troubleshooting. Their employee-owned culture fosters collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for customer onboarding and issue resolution
- Collaborate with sales and provisioning teams to deliver a seamless customer experience
- Troubleshoot and analyse VoIP systems using tools like Wireshark, tcpdump, and sngrep
- Occasionally travel to customer sites when required
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience with VoIP PBXs and Unified Communications
- Solid understanding of VoIP protocols
- Proficiency in call flow analysis with tools such as Wireshark
- Strong knowledge of networking technologies (OSI model, TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, DNS, DHCP, QoS)
- Familiarity with telecommunications standards like DECT, SIP, and Analog
- Bonus: Experience with Microsoft 365 licenses
- Excellent problem-solving, technical, and communication skills
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new products and technologies
- Valid driving license with access to a car for occasional travel
- Willingness to participate in the on-call weekend rota (approximately once per month)
