HR Assistant

We are a fun and professional team to be a part of - who provide excellent services across the JRF and JRHT group.

We're now seeking an HR Assistant to provide great services across the full employee lifecycle. Reporting to the People Services Team Leader, you will carry out monthly and annual transactional HR processes, providing effective support and administrative services to managers and employees, ensuring efficiency and organisation throughout. You'll also identify and suggest improvements to our current systems and processes to ensure continuous development within our team and in the key services we provide to all employees.

You'll maintain confidential HR records both manually and on the HR/Payroll system to ensure that appropriate and accurate records are kept for all prospective, current, and past employees. Adding new starters to the HR/Payroll system, you'll ensure compliance with relevant pre-recruitment checks and conduct regular data audits. Acting as first point of contact for general enquiries, you'll respond with a positive, friendly approach with good interpersonal skills and a natural desire to offer a good service.

What we want from you:

  • Solid experience in a busy HR administration environment.
  • An awareness of employment legislation.
  • Competency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience of HR software packages and electronic diary management.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks and achieve deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to build relationships with people at all levels across the organisation.
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to use initiative.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • A Level 3 CIPD qualification (desirable).
