To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a Design Estimator to come and join our team at our Dewsbury Office (WF12 9EF).

In this role, you will be leader for our biggest customers, servicing their needs and working closely with the Commercial teams. A key decision maker, influence pricing, achieve sales targets and maximise sales opportunities. To lead and motivate a team of Sales Coordinators in providing excellent customer.

As our Design Estimator, you will be responsible for:

  • Determine product requirements and where required production of suitable drawings form appropriate customer enquiries
  • Deliver increased sales and improved profitability through specification within the building products sector
  • Develop new and existing customer relationships in order to maximise the full potential of all accounts within the territory
  • Answering technical customer queries and questions. Via e-mail, telephone and customers coming to the business
  • Managing project administration, ensuring that drawings, correspondents and other project related documents are filed and maintained
  • Delivery of customer quotations within required timelines and company expectations
  • Be an influence and integral participant in the ways of workings within the department to help maximise opportunities
  • Weekly chasing of quotes via telephone & e-mail and maintaining relationships
  • Be up to date with changes in British standards / building regulations
  • Monitoring the stages of a project to make sure that costs are kept in line with forecasts
  • Setting up new customer accounts & liaising with QS's & Buyers to help settle account

In order to be successful in this role, we would ideally like you to be/have:

  • Strong organizational skills with capacity to be self-directed
  • High level computer user including MS Office package
  • Continuous improvement mind-set
  • Excellent listening and questioning abilities
  • A professional and proactive attitude with strong problem solving skills
  • Positive and approachable manner
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills including written and verbal format
  • Excellent time management skills, high level of detail and ability to prioritise
  • Proven CAD/Quotation experience
