The Role

The Senior Group Management Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with US GAAP reporting standards across all international operations. This role will ensure adherence to group policies and procedures, assist in identifying and mitigating risks through effective controls, and support various project initiatives and ad hoc requests as the business evolves. The successful candidate will work closely with international finance teams to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial reporting and support the company's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review monthly prepared reconciliations and reporting packs to ensure compliance with group policies, procedures and US GAAP.
  • Responsible for the review and reconciliation of group-level adjustments, such as US GAAP alignment journals and fair value adjustments.
  • Help ensure the local teams' general ledgers are accurately maintained, reconciled, and documented to the standards expected of a regulated entity.
  • Assist in the design, control, and maintenance of effective internal controls.
  • Assist in implementing improvements to the control environment with a view to becoming SOX compliant.

Required knowledge and experience for the Senior Group Management Accountant role:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA or ACA) with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience from a top 10 accounting background.
  • Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset, with a record of effectively identifying and implementing enhancements.
  • Ability and confidence to work in an evolving environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong Excel skills.
