Salary: £47,745 - £53,934 per annum (depending on experience)

Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our client based in London or Cardiff, working on a hybrid basis.

The HR Business Partner will deliver innovative and ground-breaking people policy and project work which contributes to the enhancement of the provision of People and OD services and activities in support of the organisation's strategic aims, objectives and operational plans. This includes developing and reviewing people policies, processes and practices to ensure legal compliance and best practice, and leading and contributing to people projects.

The duties of the HR Business Partner include:

  • Reviewing, developing, implementing and evaluating a range of employment policies and procedures ensuring best practice
  • Acting as an organisational resource in relation to employment policy and practice, ensuring the organisation is kept up to date and responds to changes in employment legislation and practice
  • Undertaking appropriate research to ensure that employment policies and procedures are benchmarked against other organisations to ensure appropriate standards are maintained; where possible, developing employment policies and practices that are innovative and ground-breaking to which other organisations can aspire
  • Working with L&OD colleagues where relevant, develop and deliver training materials, tools and templates to support managers and staff in using and engaging with people policies, practices and initiatives
  • Mapping, analysing, reviewing and streamlining end-to-end processes to drive continuous improvement towards excellence in service delivery, improving customer satisfaction, response times and cost-effectiveness
  • Developing and undertaking people projects
  • Designing, developing and implementing people solutions that address actions emanating from insights, either to mitigate critical risk or capitalise on opportunity using a broad awareness of organisational knowledge
  • Assessing and reviewing the impact of people solutions developed (including equity analysis)
  • Working in conjunction with People and OD colleagues to translate any learning from complaints into service developments
  • Working closely with People & OD colleagues to deliver departmental objectives and deploy their skills for the benefit of the team
  • Attending, contributing to and supporting team meetings as required and where relevant to contribute to the development of the wider People & OD team

The ideal HR Business Partner will:

  • Be qualified to CIPD Level 7 or equivalent
  • Be training in project management
  • Experience of reviewing and implementing people policies and procedures in line with best practice
  • Experience in a similar role

The HR Business Partner will need to have excellent communication skills and effectively be able to communicate to stakeholders of all levels. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have an impeccable eye for detail and accuracy to ensure all workload is carried out effectively and efficiently. They will also need to able to prioritise their workload and be efficient and effective to meet unpredictable deadlines and deal with conflicting demands, whilst working in a high-pressured environment.
