Hydraulics Technician

Job Title: Hydraulic Fitter

Salary: Dayshift - Upto £19.17 per hour, depending on experience (overtime available)

Nightshift - Upto £19.67 per hour, depending on experience (overtime available)

Location: Crewe, Cheshire

Note: Occasional evening and weekend work may be required based on business needs.

Key Objectives

You will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of hydraulic components and hose fitment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of hydraulic principles and circuit diagrams, with experience in fault finding, maintenance, and working within structured testing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and commission hydraulic components
  • Perform fault finding and basic maintenance
  • Follow hydraulic test procedures and work processes
  • Always maintain safe and clean working practices
  • Minimise waste through efficient use and disposal of materials
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations
  • Be flexible and support other duties as required (training will be provided)

Key Skills and Experience

  • Previous hands-on experience in manufacturing, ideally in commercial vehicle bodywork or trailer production
  • Proven experience working with hydraulic systems
  • Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings
  • Skilled with a variety of hand tools
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet output targets and maintain quality standards
  • Proactive and self-motivated work ethic
