Job Title: Head of Fostering

Location: Birmingham, UK

Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 per annum plus an excellent benefits package

About the Client:

They are a leading Trust dedicated to transforming the lives of children and young people. Their mission is to provide safe, nurturing, and supportive environments where children can thrive. They are now seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Fostering to join our team in Birmingham.

Head of Fostering - Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, support and develop the fostering team to ensure high standards of care and support for foster carers and children
  • Develop and implement strategies to recruit, retain, and support foster carers

Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and policies

  • Provide expert guidance and support to foster carers, helping them to meet the diverse needs of the children in their care
  • Oversee the assessment, training, and development of foster carers
  • Work closely with local authorities and other stakeholders to promote the welfare of children
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care and support provided, ensuring continuous improvement
  • Act as the Registered Manager, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met and maintained
  • Manage relationships effectively with all stakeholders, including foster carers, children, local authorities, and external agencies
  • Liaise directly with Ofsted, ensuring all inspections and requirements are handled proficiently

Head of Fostering – You:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within fostering or a related field
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory framework and best practices in fostering
  • Must be a Registered Manager with relevant qualifications and experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Commitment to improving the lives of children and young people
  • A relevant social work qualification is desirable but not essential
