Job Title: Head of Fostering

Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 per annum plus an excellent benefits package

About the Client:
They are a leading Trust dedicated to transforming the lives of children and young people. Their mission is to provide safe, nurturing, and supportive environments where children can thrive. They are now seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Fostering to join our team in Birmingham.
Head of Fostering - Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, support and develop the fostering team to ensure high standards of care and support for foster carers and children
- Develop and implement strategies to recruit, retain, and support foster carers
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and policies
- Provide expert guidance and support to foster carers, helping them to meet the diverse needs of the children in their care
- Oversee the assessment, training, and development of foster carers
- Work closely with local authorities and other stakeholders to promote the welfare of children
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care and support provided, ensuring continuous improvement
- Act as the Registered Manager, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met and maintained
- Manage relationships effectively with all stakeholders, including foster carers, children, local authorities, and external agencies
- Liaise directly with Ofsted, ensuring all inspections and requirements are handled proficiently
Head of Fostering – You:
- Proven experience in a leadership role within fostering or a related field
- Strong understanding of the regulatory framework and best practices in fostering
- Must be a Registered Manager with relevant qualifications and experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong relationship management skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Commitment to improving the lives of children and young people
- A relevant social work qualification is desirable but not essential
