Are you a Science Graduate Teaching Assistant who is looking to gain experience of working in a school setting to aid in a future teacher training application?

  • **Supporting GCSE science students on a 1-2-1 and small group basis.

The Graduate:

To be successful in this Science Graduate Teaching Assistant role, you will have at least a bachelor's degree in a science-focused subject. You will be passionate about the field of science and will have the drive and confidence to instil this into students aged 11-16. Whilst previous experience of working in a school setting is beneficial, it is not mandatory. What is essential is a warm, friendly personality and a dedication to the education and wellbeing of young people.

The Role

  • Assisting teaching staff in planning and delivering engaging and stimulating lessons.
  • Monitoring student progress to identify any extra support needs.
  • Assessing classwork and giving feedback.
  • Assisting in extra-curricular sessions to extend students' GCSE science progress beyond the classroom.
  • Partaking in staff meetings and parents' evenings.
