Field service engineer

We have an exciting opportunity Field Service Engineer based in Sheffield for one of our clients on a full-time permanent basis. Our client are a large, growing and reputable manufacturer and supplier of construction equipment on a national and international scale.

Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer

  • Carry out maintenance and repair work on earthmoving equipment.
  • Carry out, servicing, inspection and repair of earthmoving machinery.
  • Diagnostic work and fault finding.
  • Participate in the early stages with the effective processing of warranty claims.
  • Escalate actions in relation to broken or damaged company equipment.
  • Coordinate with customers ensuring their requirements are understood and met.

Requirements for a successful Field Service Engineer

  • Mechanical and electrical engineering experience.
  • Heavy Plant or agriculture experience.
  • NVQ Level 3 in a related industry.
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Strong IT skills with the ability to run diagnostic repairs.
