The Financial Controller will report into the MD and oversee the company's financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and alignment with strategic financial goals. The role requires a hands-on approach to managing cash flow, forecasting, budgeting, and working closely with external financial providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Led the setup of finance departments from the ground up, aligning financial reporting with management objectives, and delivering actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Supervising finance teams, implementing streamlined processes, and fostering professional development to enhance team productivity.
- Proficient in budgeting, cash flow analysis, VAT/CIS returns, payroll processing, and year-end reporting, with extensive experience in multi-currency transactions and intercompany accounting.
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial planning.
- Liaise with external credit providers to maintain competitive financing options.
- Work with the external accountants at yearend to support the audit process
- Identify financial risks and provide strategic solutions.
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills for interfacing with lenders, management, and regulatory bodies.
- Proficient in financial software (Xero and Sage) and MS Office Suite.
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
