We are seeking a dynamic leader for the UK Kitchen Retail Channel, responsible for driving results and growth nationally across the independent kitchen studio retailers and builders' merchants.

National Sales Manager: Key Responsibilities:

This is a leadership role within the Kitchen Retail Channel, accountable for the management and development of the UK regional Kitchen Studio and Builders Merchant accounts. This role requires leadership and input to strategic thinking, working collaboratively to oversee the management of the Regional Account Manager portfolios to ensure profitable business opportunities are maximised. With day-to-day line management responsibility for eight Regional Account Managers and reporting into the Channel Manager, you will understand your accounts and retailer objectives and build strong relationships that allow you to influence at all levels to deliver account and business plans.

  • Develop and execute the Kitchen Retail channel strategy to optimise retail opportunities and profitability
  • Provide leadership to ensure a high-performing, motivated, and collaborative team
  • Analyse sales trends and forecast retailer volumes to align factory production with retailer needs
  • Conduct regular retailer meetings with the Regional Account Managers to manage relationships and resolve customer queries, requests, and complaints
  • Collaborate with Product Management to agree on ranges and pricing, maximizing sales and profitability
  • Manage A&P and GTN budgets for the best return on investment while adhering to customer investment procedures
  • Present and launch new products to excite retailers and drive sales
  • Shape and influence retailer strategy for product merchandising in stores, online, and in brochures, driving brand awareness
  • Evaluate retailer requests to balance needs and maximize opportunities

ABOUT YOU:

  • Experience as a National Sales Manager, managing regional accounts and stakeholders
  • Experience in a commercial, consumer goods company
  • Previous people management experience
  • Strong ability to engage, motivate, and manage a sales team
  • Excellent negotiation with all stakeholders, including senior UK and European counterparts
  • Business acumen with advanced business analysis and numerical interpretation
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Outstanding communication, planning, and organizational skills
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
