About the role:

We're excited to offer an opportunity for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join our friendly finance team. You'll play a vital role in supporting our finance operations, ensuring we have accurate and timely financial information that drives our mission forward.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Managing the full credit control process, from reconciling accounts to professionally handling customer interactions.
  • Preparing sales and intercompany invoices, ensuring all transactions are processed smoothly.
  • Supporting delivery of the monthly management accounts pack
  • Conducting and presenting weekly reconciliations and reporting on sales progress.
  • Keeping our cash flow forecasts up to date with the latest figures.
  • Assisting with payment runs, month-end procedures, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Supporting our carbon reporting with monthly data gathering.
  • Preparing quarterly VAT returns and assisting with year end Statutory Reporting and Audit.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across the business to streamline finance processes and contribute to exciting ad hoc projects.

Skills and Experience You'll Bring:

  • Newly AAT qualified with a solid background in purchase and sales ledger.
  • Experience managing financial systems like Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.
  • Quick to learn new IT systems and proficient in tools like Google Suite.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Motivated, flexible, and able to work under pressure to meet critical deadlines.

Desirable but Not Essential:

  • Familiarity with the Sage X3 finance system.
