Actively seeking an experienced Senior Sub-Contracts Manager to join a leading Defence company based in Filton.
Due to the short timescales required, we are seeking someone who is immediately available and hit the ground running to support this well known Defence company in Filton for 3-6 months.
This unique Senior Sub-Contracts Manager role will be integrated within Procurement and Commercial Function, managing the Customer and Sub-Contractor activities on prominent opportunities and working closely with the internal integrated campaign bid team, external suppliers and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead both the Head Contract and Sub-Contract activities.
- Draft, prepare and negotiate complex contract documentation using standard and non-standard formats
- Focal point for project Customer and Sub-Contractors for all commercial matters
- Identify solutions for complex areas of potential risk /opportunity
- Basic understanding of SAP or equivalent integrated business systems
Requirements:
- Experience of Defence and Aerospace sectors
- Holds SC clearance
- Contract drafting and negotiation skills
- Basic understanding of SAP or equivalent integrated business systems
- Ability to build relationships with customers, partners, sub-contractors and internal teams
- Experience of complex US/European Supply chain and Sub-Contract Management
