£21,000 per annum, plus ACCA Apprenticeship (package worth £26,000 a year including courses and time off to study) – Graduate (Accountancy graduate preferred, 2:1 minimum).

We use tools like Teams, Pixie, GoProposal, Soldo, Breathe HR, plus lots more and you will receive plenty of on-the-job training to grow your skillset and add value to your clients.

You will be joining an ethical firm with an excellent reputation. Part of our team is vegan, which links with our brand Vegan Accountants (15% of clients). In addition, we have green values around paperless office and a passion for technology.

We have regular team meetings and quarterly get-togethers, usually for lunch and we happily share company financials with the team to help us all have clear objectives.

The practice is located in Chingford, and there are many spots to have your lunch, including supermarkets and cafes. You will have access to as much tea and coffee you can drink in the office (with plant-based milk on offer too).

Your salary will be around £21,000, depending on your experience but we will discuss this further. You will receive 20 days of holidays (plus the bank holidays) and to recognise your loyalty, once you have been part of the team for five years, your holiday will increase to 25 days. On top of that, we'll contribute to your pension pot.

Responsibilities

  • VAT & Analysis.
  • Preparing Personal Tax & Rental tax returns
  • Computing of personal tax returns and rental accounts via CCH software based on client's accounting records.
  • Review of Personal Tax & Rental
  • Sole Traders - formulating accounts for sole traders to form the entire or partial input to CCH (taxcalc from April 2021) software to enable completion of their personal tax return.
  • Client care – dealing with routine client queries
  • Business Advice – giving clients specialist advice, researching this and feeding back as requested
  • Undertaking of CPD to keep up to date with training and technical requirements as required from the relevant accountancy bodies. Attendance of arranged training as appropriate.

Essential Skills:

  • Graduate level with a minimum of 2:1 and wishing to study ACCA.
  • Maths GCSE level 6 or above.
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office with an excellent excel knowledge with a passion for new technology
  • Reliable, careful, delivers on time, organised, looks for a time and place for everything. Sees what can go wrong, keeps the team together.
