We are seeking a Senior Developer to lead our development team in the UK. This role is perfect for a skilled individual who is passionate about leading the full development cycle of in-house platforms, encompassing both B2B and B2C applications. The successful candidate will be part of a vibrant and ambitious technology company that operates within the Collections & Recoveries sector of the Financial Services Industry.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Review and enhance the performance, security, and usability of applications and databases.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications for the development team.
  • Document technical specifications for system design and feature development, proactively initiating product improvements.
  • Develop, build, and configure applications to meet business and application requirements.
  • Write testable, scalable, and efficient code and oversee code reviews.
  • Mentor junior team members, ensuring adherence to high software quality standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must have excellent application development skills with .Net, Blazor, MVC, HTML5, Bootstrap.
  • Must possess excellent SQL database development skills.
  • Must have extensive experience working with APIs and Web Applications.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of programming and security best practices.
  • Proven experience in leading development teams and managing full software life cycles.
  • Strong understanding of application and database architecture design.
  • Experience in cloud application development, preferably Azure.
  • Familiarity with coding best practices and software documentation.
  • Proficiency in unit testing and integration testing.
  • Competence in using GitHub, DevOps.
  • Excellent support and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient in all MS Office Products.
  • Outstanding communication skills in English (Written and Verbal).
