Job Description:

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A relevant degree in Humanities (e.g., History, Geography, Religious Studies, or a related field).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching Humanities at the secondary level is preferred.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Humanities education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a collaborative approach to teaching.

Humanities Teacher - Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Humanities lessons to students in Key Stages 3, 4 and potentially 5.
  • Foster a stimulating classroom environment that encourages students to think critically and creatively.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the Humanities curriculum.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities.
  • Uphold high standards of teaching and learning, maintaining a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
