Senior Buyer, Oxfordshire £33ph Umbrella
Shorterm Group are seeking an experienced Senior Buyers to join one of our key motorsport customers based in in Oxfordshire.
Role Overview:
As a Senior Buyer, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain operations, ensuring the timely procurement of goods and services while maintaining the highest quality standards. While motorsport experience preferable, it is not essential. However, candidates must a proven track record working within manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate purchase orders, expedite deliveries, and monitor delivery status to ensure timely receipt of goods.
- Address non-conformances promptly to minimize delays in production processes.
- Conduct commercial checks on supplier payment terms, delivery terms, and general Terms & Conditions to ensure alignment with company requirements.
- Create new contracts and develop a strategic supply base.
- Conduct supplier audits to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in procurement, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Technical knowledge and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
