About the client

Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Project Manager for an initial 9 month contract to work on a hybrid basis. The role is open at any of the client's UK Offices (Edinburgh, Glasgow, Norwich, Birmingham, London).

Purpose of the Role:

This is part of a greenfield project of work to simplify the terms and conditions of our client's credit card products. With millions of customers involved this will be a large and complex project with many moving parts. Your role will be instrumental in delivering this large change project across the UK including the updating of legal documentation and the control of appropriate communications out to millions of customers. Our client are seeking an experienced Project/Product Manager who understands the regulatory landscape and complexities of credit card product management and can take ownership of large scale complex delivery initiatives.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Lead the project to simplify and update credit card terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal standards.
  • Collaborate closely with legal, risk, marketing, and technology teams to translate technical and legal requirements into clear terms for the bank's customers.
  • Manage the Notification of Variation drafting process and lead the communication rollout.
  • Coordinate the execution of large-scale complex mailings to inform customers of the changes, ensuring precision and compliance in all communications.
  • Oversee the seamless implementation of technical changes triggered by updates to terms and conditions, working alongside the technology teams.
  • Liaise confidently with solicitors, lawyers, and risk professionals to ensure accuracy and alignment with legal requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support in developing FAQs and communication materials for any impacted customer service teams.

What we require from the candidate:

  • Proven experience in managing Credit Card projects/programmes, especially whilst ensuring regulatory compliance. Specific experience in Notice of Variation (NoV) communications would be highly desirable.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects on time and within scope.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage confidently with legal and risk communities.
  • High attention to detail, especially when managing legal documentation and ensuring accuracy in communications.
  • Ability to thrive in a hybrid working environment, collaborating with teams in London, Edinburgh, Southend, and Leicester.
  • Comfortable working with technology teams to assess and implement required changes triggered by updated terms and conditions.
  • Experience in marketing, especially in the context of large-scale mailings or customer communications (desirable).
