I am currently recruiting for a leading Lloyd's MGA who are seeking a Trading Underwriter to join their growing team.
My client is looking for someone with 2+ years experience within the commercial combined underwriting space. This position will sit in the existing business team and will be dealing with renewals, actioning midterm adjustments and cancellations, and liaising with brokers and clients within the SME space. Experience dealing with UK Property and Liability is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely delivery of renewal invitations to brokers for various products, including RPO, CPO, Retail, Pubs, Restaurants, Hotels, Contractors, Tradesman, and Commercial Combined.
- Address renewal queries from assigned brokers promptly.
- Handle Mid Term Adjustments and Cancellations for brokers and clients.
- Manage large cases with renewals over £5,000.
- Serve as a point of referral for Underwriting Assistants in the team.
- Answer broker phone calls professionally and courteously.
- Adhere to the Underwriting License.
- Utilise the Underwriting guide and collaborate with senior colleagues on underwriting decisions.
- Take proactive steps to enhance workflow processes and support corporate objectives within the scope of the role.
- Ensure compliance with TCF principles in delivering customer outcomes for Group trading entities.
